We’re proud to share that JewishERGs Executive Director, Steven Phillips, has been featured in the latest edition of Perspectives Magazine as part of their Leadership Line-up - a spotlight on changemakers shaping the future of the global Jewish community.
The article traces Steven’s journey from launching an informal Jewish employee group to building JewishERGs into the world’s largest network of Jewish ERG leaders. What began as a social group at one company quickly turned into a global movement, now connecting leaders across 160+ workplaces.
“I saw a place where Jews were not being represented, so I decided to take action,” Steven says in the feature. “Now I see an even bigger need to connect, support, and grow other leaders who want to stand up and be counted as Jews.”
The piece also highlights his vision of a need for a fresh approach to nonprofit funding. “We have to think differently about this space,” he explains. “The leaders of these groups aren’t always based where you’d expect—this work is global, local, and deeply interconnected.”
